Swiss Precision, Global Perspective. Serving Principals and Their Families.
Custody, execution, multi-currency treasury management and a range of lending solutions, including credit secured against investment portfolios and operating assets.
Discretionary and advisory mandates, constructed around each client's objectives, liquidity requirements and risk tolerance.
Our process is supported by a technology framework that few institutions of our size operate. We screen global managers systematically to construct portfolios on a quantitative basis and monitor risk continuously, including future scenario stress-testing.
Technology widens the range of what we can consider and shortens the time it takes to consider it.
We curate the best products in the market on a continuous basis from leading managers across the world.
This allows us to construct each portfolio on merit and evidence, aligning our intentions and interests with those of our clients.
Many of the most significant companies of this era remain private for far longer than their predecessors did, and a number of them will remain private permanently. For investors, the constraint is no longer conviction but access.
We offer clients access to primary allocations, secondary positions and co-investments across venture, growth, buyout, private credit and real assets. These opportunities are sourced through direct and long-standing relationships. Each is assessed on its own merits and presented with a clear account of the risks involved. We disclose where the bank or its shareholders are themselves invested.
Concentrated ownership, cross-border structuring, liquidity events and the eventual transfer of both assets and responsibility to a succeeding generation are among the most consequential matters a family will address. The difficulty is rarely any single decision but the interaction between them, and the years over which they unfold. We understand the gravity and complexity of succession, guiding multi-stakeholder families through each step.
ARYA was founded in Geneva in 1994 by the S.P. Hinduja family, whose commercial history begins in 1914, first in trade between South Asia and MENA, and subsequently across manufacturing, energy, healthcare, media and banking over four generations.
The S.P. Hinduja family remains the bank's controlling shareholder, alongside a small group of families who share the same long-term view. Our shareholders have owned and operated businesses for generations, and expect to own this one for a great deal longer.
This independence has practical consequences, allowing us to serve our clients with agility and bespoke solutions to meet their needs in an ever-changing environment.
The bank was founded to hold together two qualities that are not often found in the same institution. The first is precision: the exactness of execution, the rigour of governance and the stability of custody that have made Switzerland the reference point for private banking for two centuries. The second is a genuinely global perspective, drawn from more than a century of entrepreneurial experience: a founding family whose businesses span multiple industries across five continents, and the enterprising mindset that comes with them.
That combination is no longer unusual, but it has become considerably more valuable. Our clients' interests rarely sit within a single jurisdiction, and they have limited patience for institutions fluent in only one. We are built for that intersection.
We work with principals: founders, family shareholders and the offices that represent them. Their wealth is active and complex, concentrated in operating companies, spread across jurisdictions and held in currencies that move against one another.
Two objectives sit together in these families: preserving what has been built, and the appetite to build further. This calls for continuous attention and considered judgement, applied patiently where capital should compound and decisively when timing matters. We are designed for both.
